new exedy triple was installed @ same time as a 5 speed conversion was done with a customer supplied used trans. car came back a few weeks later with less than 1000 miles on it, making strange noises & engagement/disengagement was all kinds of wrong. pulled it apart and sent the trans to shep. turns out the input shaft was slightly bent. problem was fixed by replacing the input shaft, floater & one disk with a damaged hub. no changes were made to clutch adjustment when it was re-installed, this was roughly 6 months ago & problem has not re-occurred.

just pulled mine off i couldent get the tob off so i had to spin the crank and take the pressure plate bolts off 2000 miles on the clutch all disk where atleast 3.96mm or better.

honestly i had no problems with the clutch untill that but i love everything about it ill prolly send it away to get inspected and rebuilt ive seen alot of high hp cars use the clutch so i know it works.

everyone that had a problem should try and post up a mfg date or serial # if possible. might be a batch with bad heat treat or something.

im afraid to check my triple.. this is not good. im not making no where near the hp/tq some of you guys are making tho.

what are the warning signs of this? pretty much the clutch wont engage and disengage properly? and lots of funky noises?

does the pedal get vibration etc?
