Oil leak places to look help.

What's going on fellas. So recently i had my oil light flicker on and off so i figured it was my oil temp switch, which i changed. Fast forward a few days later i thought i had a oil leak coming from it which i notice it was'nt coming from there. It was coming from somewhere else. My question to you guys is what are the common places that i should look *in order to determine where it might be coming from. I know a few spots to look but maybe im over seen something. I'll also try to buy some dye and a black light to search on my own before i decide to take it to a shop thank you.*

First place would be the oil pan, main seal or the rear seal

The leak is located under or around intake manifold and above oil pan around the back of the engine. When i open my hood i see oil on the hood aswell a lil. Is a good amount of oil i dout it could be coming out of the oil temp switch i've seen oil on it but it could just be dripping on it also.

i dont wanna be the bearer of bad news but if its coming around the intake manifold its probably the head. I say that because im in that boat myself, spent over 1k having an oil pan replaced w new silicone a few times, turned out later on upon having the head removed at the shop it was warped on the #2 to #3 cylinder area behind the engine. It was pissing down so it looked like it was oil pan. Never through an oil light flicker though.
Good luck, best bet is to put a dye in the oil check for leakage.
