Synapse dv-Boost leak test

So as i hooked up my Synapse bov i went to do a boost leak test, and when i got to around 12 psi everytime the bov would open up and relieve the pressure? How in the world would the bov be able to open up? It is the bigger style with port c inside.

where are you hooking up your boost leak tester? take off your intake and hook it up directly to the turbo.

Sorry, haha i didnt specify that. Yes i removed the MAF and Intake piping. I have it connected to the turbo. the bov is hooked up with the hose coming from the UICP. That is the only hose that is hooked to it.

Take a picture of your engine bay. Seems you are missing the tube that is supposed to be either connected to port A or port B. Try both ports first and see if that fixes your problem.

Yes it's a vac source. U can run ports A & B connected or one or the other to get it dialed in

Yes because those a & b ports help keep the bov closed under boost. Without any hoses hooked up to them the bov will leak.

The seal that where the UICP hooks into the DV was ruined. replaced that and holds good.
