Boost surge??

Hey guys I have a 06 mr and lately when I'm driving it and get on it the boost will surge. For example it will go to 14psi then down to 12psi then back to normal again. Seems to be worst when going up a incline and only when at wot. I'm guessing it's a boost leak but being my first turbo car i wanna see what u guys say.. I'm in the process of making a adapter to do a boost leak test. Any info appreciated thanks.

So, I am curious as to what the peak or highest boost level has been until now that you are experiencing this boost oscillation.

1. Welcome.
2. I would start with a boost leak test.

its feels like it though, you can feel the car when it looses the pressure but it will do it only sometimes and you can feel it rocking back and forth as well as hear the turbo change the ton.

You didn't post up your modlist. With boost issues it is best to know at least what type of boost control you are using. Should we assume that your car is mostly stock? Also, are you using the stock diverter valve or not. What gear were you noticing the boost oscillation in?

Everything is stock, right? Or, is it not?

Sorry I should have known better. But the mod list injen uicp licp, 3"fmic,1250fic injectors,255walbro, kelford 272cams,greedy bov, 3"exhaust no cats or anything, aem truboost. It's timed at 18psi currently and the most noticeable gear I notice it at is 3rd and up but it doesn't always do it. Some days u can get on it and it holds steady throughout the gears.
