400 Fuel Pump Pressure setup

Ok Guys,Need some wise advise. I just installed a MAP 2.3. I also installed a wally 400 E85 version with a 6an feed line to rail. With the rewire. The pump was installed in to my stock hanger by MAP. My fuel setup consist of a FIC 1250 injectors, FIC fuel rail and a Fuel Labs FPR. We fired the car up with a base tune by "The Man"Tom. The fuel pressure jumped to 90psi. We couldn't get it below 65psi. I contacted MAP and talked to Nick. He advised me to drill the return on the stock hanger. He said it would get me around 55psi. I had a very nice member (TED)here to walk me through it. It got me down to 55psi. I was advised to get it down to 44psi with the a 6an return. So I added a 6an return. Now I was able to set the pressure to 44psi without the vac hose and at Idle I hold 36psi. I have always read and Tom even feels a 6an feed & return is not a good idea. In this case If I go any smaller on the return the pressure gets uncontrollable. What would you guys do in this case?

The stock supply line will be fine as a return line. I cannot comment on whether an undrilled factory siphon will create issues.

Can I do this for the long run? Does anyone know someone running same size return & feed?

There should be no issues whatsoever using both a 6 -AN feed and return.
