No problem. Once I'm finished with mine, I will post pics and detailed instructions of the timing and other needs for the 2.4 swap.

You will use 4g64 or 4g63 timing belt?

This is a great writeup, thanks for the hard work. I have not done any research whatsoever on these builds, could you use the evo 9 head instead? Or no because of mivec. Im pretty interested in building something like this later on for a backup motor or better

It probably wouldnt hurt to add the oil squirters. I just picked up my block yesterday. Im going to take it to the machine shop and see how much it would be to add them. As far as advantages go, it keeps the pistons cooler. I have seen high HP builds without the squirters. In my opinion, if the EVOs were built with them, they should be installed.

You can use the evo 9 head with Mivec. You have to relocate the oil line for the mivec to work. There is a link with the line you will need in the original post.

The G64 block has a port on the back and Maperformance sells the needed line to make Mivec work.

Along with Galant 99-03 and 03 outlander. You can also use a Kia optima or a Hyundai sonata

As for the timing set up, let me look for a picture that I took with the correct settings with the evo8 head, 64block combo
