How do you test the boost control solenoid?

I've got a Perrin 3-Port EBCS.The car is boosting way more than it should and i'm picking up a lot of knock. How do you test the EBCS?

Just put a multimeter on it and see if there's current running through it?

Or could it be my turbo wastegate that's gone bad? If i pull on the actuator it still opens,so i doubt it's that.

Bottom right on evoscan. Actuators. Click boost solenoid and the solenoid should click when evoscan shows on.

Tested it with a multimeter.Getting 1.1 ohms.Is this normal? Car was switched off.

It seems a little low...

Did you ever get this? I just installed a stock BCS and boost lines (new with pills). I'm only able to hit 15psi. Wondering if my stock solenoid is bad.

Bit late and I assume OP's figured it out by now, but maybe this'll help others in the future:

When you change your stock BCS to an aftermarket BCS (grimmspeed, perrin, whatever), you MUST have the boost retuned because the new BCS can reach much higher boost than the stock one. On the stock system the WGDC tables are nearly maxed out, whereas you'll want approx. half of those values on an aftermarket solenoid.
