hey guys im in the process of building a 2.4LR with my goal to 1000hp. My issue is all the intercooler piping i can find is 2.5" and i really wanted 3" but cant find any. How much of a difference will there be if i go with 2.5" instead of 3? If you know where i can get 3" piping either that would be awesome. Let me know your opinions on the difference in diameter.

You really need to look at the whole system. Can you get IC piping at the intercooler to 3", can you get IC pipes to 3", can you get IC soft couplers in 3" is the TB 3", is the inlet to the manifold 3"?---my point being that somewhere in this mess your not going to get to 3" and it becomes the restriction in flow...so even if the rest is 3" your going to run into that restriction and negate your other improvements.. in the event you have resolved all these other restriction points, my guess would be ETS would listen to you and custom build a set-- just guessing.

I plan on doing a ams intake manifold and bigger throttle body with the setup so i should have 3" all the way around

Here is a 3in UICP from STM: http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...ipe_3_inch.htm

The downside is this UICP can't be used with Evo's that have an ACD, and judging by your info I can see you have a 2005 Evo 8. So that's not gonna work. In regards to the hot side, I can't think of anyone who sells a 3in LICP. Looks like you might need some custom fab work for your setup.

I just found this, it's a 3in UICP from JM Fab. It doesn't say anyting about not being able to be used with a ACD equpied Evo. Just to be safe I would definitely call.
