Man That sucks. Ask Boostin what it takes to go to a evo 8 head since they did it to the junk box they you will have no more mivac.

Well, I looked up the part I broke and luckily it's only about $25 as mentioned before, so that's a relief. I am gonna get a hold of Boostin abiutbtje evo 8 stuff, might be worth while for me.

You can leave the IX cam sensor housing on to plug the aft end of the cam. I would plug the block oil feed and the inlet to the feed solenoid. On the ECU side you need to disable the sensor check in the OBDII section.

interesting discussion.. i rather like mivec. i can run a big cam and idle like stock. besides that, i was under the impression from mitsu tech documents that the mivec head has a water passage design that better pulls heat from the head. also, i thought the mivec head has a better dome shape.

Im sure there are plenty of advantages. Myself though, I have just had bad luck with mivec and its equipment lol.

I have broke the electrical terminal off of the mivec pressure valve twice and had to replace, then broke the filter off in the head the other night lol. I got the piece out of the head tonight though.
