I have used it its a great deal if you have a bad Evo 9 turbo.

However I would just upgrade to an hta73 for around 800 bucks if money isnt an issue.

HTA71 and E9 the power difference isnt that great but similar spool.

I managed to get 34 PSI at 3700 RPM

It's pretty good imo, especially for a 2.0L

I will have 1 for sale by the weekend, pulling mine out tomorrow to go bigger... thought i would give it a try.

comes with both the oem cover & surge ported cover + a ported hotside

Anyone who is using this:

Was there any issues bolting it up to your existing turbine housing?! Also are you using the stock oil line or the FP oil line?!

Thanks

plug in and play when it came to using stock 10.5 hotside

used oem lines no money for fp lines

turbo is working great still and in good shape

rolling 3 deep with jacks and tools

On pump gas with an engine with 125 compression

35psi on pump gas?! That's a little extreme. What octane?

I'm running it for auto-x and I really like the turbo. For a 2.0L it's very well suited and I'm using my ported 9.8cm hotside for a little extra spool. No issues with fitment and no lines to buy. I got my CHRA brand new from FP for $500. I couldn't pass up the upgrade for the price over the stock early VIII turbo.

FYI, these turbos don't have the best record for longevity especially at 27+ psi. I would recommend doing some more searching on the turbo and judge for yourself. For me, my car is primarily used for auto-x and as such really doesn't get driven much. I knew the risk and still said screw it due to the insanely cheap price.

Thanks for the input. Mine is pretty much a track car that I drive with NASA. I'm currently at 28psi on E85 on the stock IX turbo. I would like to keep it the same. I really like the BBK Full but this upgrade will flow just as much and costs 1300 less. That was the main reason I was interested in it.

The bbk full with the upgraded turbine would in theory mean a reduced in EGT. I don't have any data to prove my point so hopefully someone can share their data to help us out. I would buy a full based on what "terror raising" said, that way you can focus more on driving and less on the car breaking.

I don't think you can go wrong. It is a badass upgrade for the cost.

73HTA Green is too laggy for my taste on a 2.0L, thats just my opinion. My buddies 2.3L with a 73HTA Green is a totally different story.
