Been awhile since I've updated but I pulled the bad jb turbo out, dropped it off at Blouch and within 2 weeks I had a fresh, upgraded 1.0XTR bb version at my door. Now I did pay for the bb upgrade but Blouch was great to deal with and I paid a fair price for the upgrade.

They told me the jb unit failed due to unexplained circumstances. No signs of oil starvation, no signs of shaft overspending, no sign of oil contamination. It just plain wore out prematurely.

I've got the bb version on for nearly as long as I had the jb unit and so far so good. Spools slightly quicker but the transient response is almost night and day. FYI I make 27 psi by 3800 rpm on a stock block! VERY fun street turbo. It's holding up great and no smoking.

The car made 440+ whp and 370 wtq at 26.5-27.5 psi on 93 octane on the stock block with S2s and the usual full bolt ons.

I'm planning to order the blouch 2.0 xtr soon. Hoping to reach the mid to high 400s

I would certainly do so in confidence. As long as you've got your **** together with the car, there's no reason you couldn't make a good 30 or so whp more than I did, on pump gas. I made 440/370 with a 1.0XTR! Karl, aka KP Tuning performed the tune on my car and did a great job. I'd recommend him to anyone in eastern and southeastern PA.

If one were to replace a HKS 7460R that made 393whp@1.6bar on 95oct gas wich would be the best: 1.0XTR or 2.0XTR?

The HKS has an awesome spool and transient response but is unrepairable. Looking for options.

Did your 7460 fail? It appears to me to be made from Mitsubishi parts, you just need to find a place willing to work on it. I read here somewhere that Turbo Labs of America has upgraded HKS turbos with bigger compressors. I also fixed my failed wastegate flapper (need to post a how to) and it's running like a champ.

We fixed it using a MHI turbine housing machined to fit the HKS turbine wheel.

I tried to get the flapper fixed but nobody was sure about what alloy to use on the shaft. I saved the flapper gate and lever to fix it when I get the right info.
