BR 280 cams on a 2.0LR motor

BR 280 cams on a 2.0LR motor

Just wondering what you guys think about the Buschur 280 cams. How was the power and drivability? Im wanting to swap out my Kelford 272 with the 280s. people that have this set up what do you think of it?

t4 6466 I think my cams might might me holding me back a bit.

Yea they are, especially if the motor is built. A 280 cam like the BR's, or kelfords, or GSC S3 should give you a decent bump in power.

The Kelfords have 226 deg effective duration, which is a good street cam, but will run a little short for large turbos like what you have. Do you have adjustable cam gears? What type of head work have you done?

boostin performance built motor. 2.0L with their stage 3 head. No adjustable cam gears. Do I need them?

If you already had adjustable cam gears, I was going to make a timing suggestion to wring more power out of those Kelford 272s. At this point, I would simply consider a more suitable cam set.

Longer effective duration will deliver a bit more power upstairs. The Buschur 280s will certainly provide that, but I don't have any other data for them.
