You probably switched up the lines going to the compressor/actuator. I did that too when I uninstalled my EBC.

Hm, if you used your own lines I'm not sure if the stock system would like that. There are two restrictors in the system, do you have them both in there? You can pick up the entire hose assembly for about $20 from Mitsu. The part # isMN143555. I would post a picture from the tech manual for you, but I don't have access to my tech manual right now (I don't have the CD).

Open the hood of your Evo and look down at your battery. Now look up above your head at the underside of the hood. You should see something like the picture below.

thanks for the diagram
can't believe i haven't seen it before.

well my dealer service dept. thinks that the car only runs 7-11 lbs of boost anyway. so i will take it to them like this then just reinstall the mbc when i get it back and turn it back up to 19lbs.

i will pick up the factorys line again thou just incase i need to turn it in again.

I think the vacuum hose diagram is a DOT or EPA requirement. I'm not sure but I saw a JDM Evo 7 today and I don't recall seeing the diagram when I was checking out the underside of the hood.

IIRC, 12lbs is the "failsafe" level of the wastegate spring. In otherwords, with no additional pressure supplied to the wastegate actuator the wastegate will open at 12 pounds of boost. My wild *** guess is that you've got the pressure tap leading off of the compressor outlet vented to atmosphere. This is essentially what the solenoid valve does.
