BTW I should add something here, I am making an assumption that they must be coming soon given there are compressor maps and other bits of info leaking out... I have no direct feed myself, I just keep ears and eyes open and people flick me things when they see it as I am clearly interested in this kind of thing - then I share what I find. There is no official announcement from Garrett at this stage so I wouldn't hold breath on how soon "soon" is until they actually say anything. It still could be a wee while away.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hold out until SEMA or even PRI since these are performance market targeted turbos.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if they wait. It's only a few months. Give them time to build up inventory at their global distributors too.

I was told the new G30 and G35 series are delayed due to "issues" so I am not expecting anything you can order this year. I suspect that eventually all turbos will start rolling up under the G series line so they can kill SKU's as they have way too many turbos to manage. My feedback was the turbine wheel needs to be better matched (larger) with the current compressor wheel options. Considering the GTW line has turbochargers using P-trim turbine wheels developed in the 1700s, this would indicate a stop gap until they can get the new stuff commercialized. Last year Garrett was restructured as a standalone company so they will likely no longer benefit from being under the Honeywell corporate umbrella, which probably means they have to use their own profits to innovate and grow the business. I like how the GT stuff packages and they make a solid turbo so I hope they get this figured out longer term.

excited to see what the G35-900 can do. I've been looking for something with 6466 spool with 6875 power.

although it looks like the 6466 has a larger wheel diameters in both compressor and turbine.

Not a chance that the G35-900 will deliver that. I would guess the G35-1050 (G6862 in Precision talk) would at best match the 6870 in flow - but the G35-900 might be close in flow to the 6466, and hopefully more responsive.

Comparison of GTX3076 Gen2 vs G30-770 , looks like the smaller exducer on the G30 still outflows the GTX Gen2 , the turbine wheel is less by 1 blade and it flows a little higher than the old GTX

So, I'm building a 2.2 in an Evo8 for a guy here. We just ordered an ETS Vband kit with the g30-770. Should be together and on the dyno December or January. Excited for results.

Prior to getting the S362SX-E I debated on just upgrading to the GTX3584RS that uses the new turbine wheel with 1 less blade since it would bolt to my old manifold. All of the results in the GTR community showed very little gain on the top end with increased lag vs GEN II GTX3582R. Even one of the master distributors said it wasn't worth the upgrade. I'm curious to see how these actually compare to GEN II 30 turbos.

I'm pretty sure the g-series has their own unique turbine. Based off results I've seen from the G25-660, I don't think lag will be an issue.

Keen to see some results too, What size Exhaust housing did you go for? The 770 should flow more than a GTX3076 Gen 2 with better spool than the GTX3071 Gen 2, All In a package the size of the GTX3071. Cant wait.

It will have a Tial .82 A/R stainless vband housing.

We'll see about the flow. Based on how its somewhat pressure ratio limited I think it'll make somewhere around 650whp.

Will it be on ethanol? Looking forward to results, should be interesting. Based off the rest of the range I'd guess that it might be similar/slightly laggier than a GTX3076R but capable of near 700whp

It has the same comp inducer, smaller comp exducer and the same size turbine with modern aero. I doubt it will be any laggier than a 3076.

Yes, car will be flex fuel so we will have ACN91 pump gas results and E85.
