Its a horrible mismatch.
Dont think the 660 has earnt any bragging rights unfortunately. Though rexies are a terrible plaform to judge a turbo off as everything is laggy on them haha!

Looking forward to seeing some evo results though. So good luck to the guys who have dropped their hard earnt on a G series as id like to hear just how they drive as the dynosheet only tells part of the story.
Yes, true that the GTX3076 is bad and putting the 0.64 rear housing on it is even worse. BUT, it is the only back-to-back dyno I've found. Keep in mind the 0.92 A/R housing of the G25 flows like a GT30 in the 1.01 A/R which is why I'm going with the smaller 0.72 A/R which flows like the GT30 in the 0.61 A/R. One might think that going that small will cause too much back pressure, but the G25 turbine has much higher efficiency than the old GT30, so it'll still make good power. So the best of both, spool and power. Of course, the 0.92 should make more power and there are people who will prefer that setup.

T4-Divided variant? Does this mean there is a twin-scroll version coming out?

Yes, they mentioned the T4 divided in a video at SEMA last year.

Its still taking Garrett AGES to get off their dot and a develop a few more versions and get them on the market .
I'm guessing that there was a lot of old GTX stock out there and it isn't likely to move if better things are on the shelf next to them .
I'm sure plenty of people like me aren't going to touch dinosaur technology in the mean time , its probably just promoting BW sales .

I get a distinct impression there will be a flood of the larger options later this year, including but not exclusively the G30 range which will likely to be relevant to the largest amount of people's interests. Overall, so far the G-series hype has only legitimised how far ahead Borg Warner were with their EFRs - the G25 results so far do nothing to threaten Borg Warner imho.

Just FWIW, local air pressure around here is 84kPa and I made 360WHP uncorrected on an IX turbo with less boost and faster spool on a 2.0L. In fairness though, those boxer do have terrible lag on the dyno.
This shop is local to me. I've been thinking about taking my Evo there for a dyno pull to see how my EFR7670 setup compares to the G25. Will report back if I get a chance in the next few weeks.

Nice, thanks! What are your thoughts on it? Looks a bit like 550whp with full boost somewhere in the 4000-4500rpm?

That doesn't look at impressive for a 2.3L.

Nah. I just trolled the EvoX results and the closest power band was for a stock bottom-end Evo X with an EFR7670 - which was making slightly more power at 4000rpm than this. Suffice to say with all other things being equal that'd suggest that the EFR7670 on a 2.3 would be incomparable

On 2.0L the Precision 5858 spools only a touch slower (if at all) and makes over 600

Indeed. Full boost was a bit sooner though, ~3700rpm. 100* temps in the dyno room definitely hurt. I think the .92 housing is too big, and I think this would have spooled much better in the smaller .72 housing. I also think the T4 divided variant, if/when it comes out, will be a significant improvement.

The transient response is awesome, and everyone that drove the car at the shop loved how it felt on the street.

Wow ok, would have expected the power to be a bit higher than it is at 4000rpm if full boost was that early - an wow yeah that's a hearty temp, though it still looks quite a bit lazier than you'd hope. Hopefully someone manages to get a "best case" result with one of these as the likelyhood of every single result of them seeming surprisingly lazy because of external factors is pretty low.

Awesome, had hoped that'd be the case- quite interesting seeing two very different takes on how to improve transient response/reduce inertia play out in practice.
