HKS CAMS 272i/264e or 264i/272e?
Hi,
I went with 264/272 (buddy club) since I wanted as stock an idle as possible with no cam gears. There isn't much lope at all, very happy with that. The other thing that swayed me was EVO11V's results and the AMS article, which interestingly seemed to show improved low-end with 264/272 vs either straight combo. The 272/264 seems to get the most love lately though, heh.

93 octane winter gas
straight TBE, no cat
The idle is stock. It's crazy stock. When we installed it, no ticks and idled so good, I thought he put the stock cams back in.
Once warmed up, there is a bit of variation, but not much rougher than the stock 240 cams.
The boost is quick and it hits hard. everything before it's a lot more responsive. My highest torque kicks in at 6500rpm.
I do think the cold air and the boost spike does play a factor.
I got with that setup and custom flash at 327/300 tq...
I think you need to make sure you compare both cams in the same car, not GSR vs MR, where MR has the edge with the 10.5 hotside, which could use a different cam setup as the GSR model.
