Yes and even the 3584rs which is a 1000hp turbo, cannot make much... I wanted to test the 3584 but i did not see a dyno making more than 900whp

And no need for a tubular mani that will, inevitably, crack.

HUGE selling point. I like the idea of getting away from stock-frame turbos to also get away from their limitations, but it always makes more sense for me to stay (at my power levels).

A tubular manifold will eventually crack. The stock turbine housing will eventually crack/fail. 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other..

I've had many manifolds crack, no housings, so I'm biased

I've had zero tubular manifolds crack from quality MFG's (ETS and STM), although I have seen others with "no-name" kits have issues. And even when they do crack. You just weld it up.

Currently, the volute in the turbine housing on my car is cracked. The one that came off 3yrs ago was cracked externally, and the stock one had the volute crack. Every 9 tubro I've ever pulled apart, the volute or the wastegate outlet is cracked. So I find it hard to believe you've never cracked one, vs you haven't looked for them.

When you said cracked turbine housings, I thought you meant beyond repair/use, as a manifold would be. All volutes are cracked. We all know that. I haven't had a housing crack externally, though I've only been in the Evo game since about 2008 or so. It could be that I've been really lucky or need to give it more time.
My tubular manifolds that cracked were various manufactures that I can't remember other than Full Race. It cracked, we had it welded, cracked again, rinse, repeat. It's the price we paid for going all-out on the turbo kit. It's soured my disposition on tubular manifolds to the point where I'll stick with the OEM cast piece. Just my preference, though. If I ever came to a point where I needed the added performance and felt it was worth the risk of additional maintenance, then I'd of course reconsider.

I definitely need a dyno graph of this single-scroll turbo versus a twin-scroll Evo IX turbo flowing similar lb\min.

did you use any support bracket under those turbos?

as for OE stuff.. I saw cracked OE turbo housings, but I think it has more to do with bad mapping... On the X it is much more common.. a great majority of manifolds and turbos crack on that platform..

GTR turbofolds crack as well from wastegate hole towards turbine wheel. Almost all will have this crack and a few are so bad they can’t be used as cores unless sleeved for running 35r plus turbine wheels.
