Hi,

I just moved your post to the Evo Engine/Turbo/Drivetrain forum. I think you will have a better chance of finding an answer. Good luck!

I'd email JMF with your questions. They're extremely helpful.

I'm not sure why pictures are so important, it's a manifold...

They could probably answer your question about fitting an air filter.

For anyone interested...

Seems like the wastegate priority of the left gate may not be optimal? Has anyone actually run this setup? any boost creep issues?

If you're worried about boost creep you probably don't need a forward facing turbo kit.

It's on the collector the same way any other twin scroll manifold is. It just has a tube to move it away from the core support. No manifold for these cars really has great wastegate priority due to packaging.

most manifolds have the wastegates much closer to the actual merge collector. this is more like an additional runner....

proper wastegate priority via CBRD's car

Sheepy has a twinscroll FF manifold with much closer gates to the collector

The distance of the gate from the runner is of little importance. As long as the gas enters the tube to the gate well, it's fine.

Im sure it works, jmf looks like it makes good stuff, it just seems less than ideal. If someone wanted to make a wastegate pressure only map they may have trouble with this setup is all im saying, and im wondering if anyone has actually run this manifold

<----- Has run a t4 twinscroll turbo setup (full race)

I've yet to run any twin gate manifold on these cars that run wastegate pressure. ETS, Full Race, Sheepy. All of them make more boost than spring pressure. So you have to spring about 3-7psi lower than target wastegast boost depending on the turbo.

So, I'm not sure what your point is here.

wastegate pressure via rated spring is somewhat relative, the problem with a manifold with a poor wastegate priority is boost creep as the flow in the waste gate path cant keep up due to the momentum/velocity of the gas unable to make the abrupt turn in the flow path and therefore more and more gas going through the turbine.

my full race setup did not creep. wastegate pressure was 20PSI

just trying to start a discussion in a dead-ish forum
