Evo IX trouble firing up, bad clicking

Hey everyone, My evo 9 is having trouble fully firing up, has some bad clicking... but I can’t pin down an issue. Video is below, you can see as I try to give it some gas too. Checked battery, fuses for engine/ignition/fuel pump, coils, and spark plugs...they are good. Nothing looks out of place. Log is attached. A week before this issue, out of the blue the car would cut out under acceleration and got progressively worse over a few miles. Ordered a new Omni 4 bar and that solved the issue as the car completely returned to normal and I went on my way boosting 35psi multiple times with no issue. One day later, can’t get the car to fire up. Prior to this, no issues for years. Ideas?

Stock block, E85, FIC 1250cc, dual walbro 250cc, cosworth 272s , headstuds , new omni 4bar map sensor, mhi FP Black, tial Q, speed density, ported manifolds and TB, ETS intercooler and piping, etc. HELP!

thanks for the help!

Wowzers. Yeah you definitely don’t want to start that! Start with checking timing. But it’s time for a new motor I would say.

It’s just crazy because there were no symptoms at all prior to this. Pulled hard and perfect for years. No weird noises, etc. turn it off one day, then this. Can looking at the log rule anything out?

Your symptoms seem pretty consistent with a timing belt related failure, which is why I was saying to check your timing marks.

Had a clacking like that late last year, which I swore came from the MIVEC gear. Turns out the timing belt tensioner took a dump and had ejected its grease and belt was slapping something. Had the same issue on my wife's Honda Odyssey with a bad tensioner and the clacking noise. In the case of the Honda, the tensioner didn't eject the grease so externally it looked fine, but when I pulled it out the hydraulic pin had movement. Don't run the car and pull off the upper and lower timing covers to check the timing marks as well as the tensioner.
