P0011 MIVEC Code

Other than having a check engine light or CEL is there any other symptoms/signs my Evo IX wouldn't have working MIVEC?

I'm chasing a P0011 code that I've had on this car for as long as I owned it.

-I swapped the MIVEC solenoid for a known working solenoid and bench tested both off the car (passed). Confirmed I get 12v at the connector.
-There's no oil leaks on the line or solenoid or cam gear.
-I used a new MIVEC line, and the cam gear was cleaned out when the short block was assembled (2x already by now).
-Code came up on my first motor build and is still present on my 2nd motor build. On GSC S2 274s

The only two things I can think of would be a worn out MIVEC cam gear ($400 + would need to retime the motor), or a clogged passage in the head (possible...but twice? Considering I had the head rebuilt 2x technically).

At this point I'm just more inclined to ignore the code and enjoy the car...which is why I'm trying to figure out if MIVEC not working shows any other symptoms (either idling or driving). The car still dynoed around 480whp @ 31psi on E85 with that code and seems to drive fine with no issues.

Mine was lazy on the bottom end without mivec. You need to log cam position desired vs actual to see what's going on.

Dont drive around with the code, fix the problem.

I have a few datalogs with timing advance and MIVEC datalogged. Would that help? Not sure what I should be selecting in EvoScan re: cam position desired vs actual. Should I compare the timing advance in the datalog (actual) to the tune xml (desired)?

It doesn't appear you're logging MIVEC correctly in EVOScan.
