Do you have any recent pics of your car? I would love to see some pics.

We are hoping for full boost around mid 3,000rpm. We will see once we get the EMS on there and fully tuned.I just like the fact that on my daily driver I can run a large turbo and not had to worry about it effecting driveability.
He is using a agp turbo kit with a tubular manifold. Also, are you using the "long rod" version of this motor (156mm rods instaed of 150). I have heard that one will only rev to 8500 reliably. The bigest thing with the stroker is being able to run a bigger turbo and have better daily drivability. A 2.4 is definately on my list. Good kob rnr

Wow Ryan, great work on the motor. It will be interesting to see how she performs. I think it's safe to say that you have to biggest motor in an EVO stateside.
I noticed a couple of people on here were concerned about RNR's quality. RnR will go to great lengths to fix any issue that you may have. I had a few problems with them in the past, but he fixed them all for me. Hell, he built me a brand new exhaust and installed it for free!!!!!!
Keep up the great work Ryan.

Ok, low 11's and high 10's on 93 is amazing. Now the real question is, how does it do on C16? Anyone over 500whp? (in a street car, no air/water IC's)

This is actuallly interesting. Unfortunately, I won't have any money until the end of the summer.

Actually I run an AGP turbo it even says so in my sig. Its a GT40 compressor T350 turbine wheel and an .82 5 bolt turbine housing connected to a turbonetics manifold.

Checking out my sig 557/482 on c16 low 11 afr and 22 degrees timing and that was at 29-30 lbs. At 25 lbs I did 511. So on a pump gas safe 22-23 lbs I would think 480 or so.

In short the strokers spool the turbo about 3-400rpm faster.

Switching from .63 to an .82 slows spool about 4-500rpm.

Can anyone do the math here?
I am in full agreement here. Like 94AWDCoupe said, the numbers seem a bit unrealistic. Also those of us driving stock slow Mitsus have long been toying with the stroker setup, even in cars oriented the same way as the newer Evos (since the Evo IV+ face the other way than the DSMs and Evos 1 - III) ... The 4G64 from a 00+ Eclipse has been put in a slow Mitsu like I said before, with confirmation that the Evo heads will fit and the Evo manifolds and what not being a bolt on affair.

This 2.4 has had oil squirters added?
Have the balance shafts been removed?
If you put this in a bone stock EVO, would you need larger injectors and air flow sensor?

RNR, so which 2.4L block are you using if your not using the galant bottom?

Also, I have heard of two instances where Eagle Rods, have uhm Broke....from a very reliable source. Have you had any issues, and have you fully tested this?

I think I recall seeing it was a late model Eclipse block (3gen body style??) not sure where I saw that..

I'm surprised that you've heard that about eagle rods, the truth is under severe duty, any rod can stretch or break, its important that if you want to spin an engine that high, you magnaflux, deburr, and stress relieve (Cryo freeze, etc.) the parts to minimize the chance of a small defect getting into the mix.. My Malibu has rods and a stroker crank from eagle, the car is supercharged with 9:1 compression and regularly sees 10psi of boost. Its all about the attention and prep...

I think anyone who has a new innovative product is going to have disbelievers, and time will tell if this is a viable option, but someone has to try it. I'm more than willing if my funds permit.. I think for a daily driver with serious performance, a stroker engine and a matched turbo will prove to be much more enjoyable to drive, and in many cases perform better than a high strung engine with a giant turbo that spools real late. It would be interesting to see what this engine will do with a nicely ported head, 272 cams, and an "Upgrade Stock" twin scroll turbo.
