Pennzoil Syncromesh

Hey guys, look at what I found out about pennzoil sycnromesh. So basically, it's the same exact stuff as the GM syncromesh. And in the article, it even mention of mitsu AWD tranny. Anybody here use this product before on the EVO?

It really does work. I am not a big Pennzoil fan and was very hesitant about trying this gear oil, but it really made a big difference in shifting smoothness.

I dont really have any shifting problems except grind a little bit on 4th gear while racing. But I noticed that I have to depress the clutch all the way or else it will grind. Im just looking for a good tranny fluids for the EVO tranny. Pennzoil is cheap and can be found at any autozone or local auto shop. BG sycnroshift and GM is expensive and hard to find. I'm going for heavy shock proof redline for x-case and rear diff. Thx guys for the response.

I've been using the GM Syncromesh (basically the same as the Pennzoil) and my car has been shifting more smoothly. I only have about 2K on the new fluid, though. Has anyone been driving for an extended period of time on Syncromesh? I also hear the the BG Syncroshift fluid may be even better, but I have yet to try it.

I've been on the GM for the better part of my 23k... shifts great. I just switched to the Pennzoil and can tell no difference between the two other than price.

Yo, update on the pennzoil syncromesh. It works!!!! Almost immediately, after changing out the stock to the pennzoil, the shifting has improved dramatically. Well, maybe I over exaggerate a little bit on that, but nonetheless, there is a huge improvement over the stock fluid. I also use the redline heavy shock proof with 1/2 ouce friction mod for the rear differential. I have not change out the x-case yet. Will do that soon. But so far so good.
