i have the full magnaflow catback. i think its too loud. raspy at high revs. i also have a high flow cat. im going to try out a twin loop just to see if its quieter. if not, ill go back to stock. it did open things up though. i have CAI,headers,RRM piggyback as well. it definately helps with the curve...but the sound it too much

Much like OP, I’m looking for a good muffler. And not just the muffler, looking to get the whole package(manifold back). What are some good kits that I can grab that’ll give me great sound and prevent me from getting another ticket for loud exhaust?

@gothman667 It would help if we knew what your EvOs exhaust system consists of?

If you want to quiet things down, the basics are:
  • Run a CAT or a High Flow CAT
  • Run a mid resonator
  • Run a rear muffler
If you want a specialty quiet exhaust RRE use to make their Stealth quiet exhaust. Not sure if they still offer that (it had a Magna Flow rear muffler)

Thing is, it’s not an evo. It’s an OZ with factory exhaust with a giant hole in it up by the cat. I’m looking to get a throatier sound out of it, while preventing cops from pulling me over any more for loud exhaust

Ok, I understand. Well that hole by the CAT is certainly not good but the recipe i outlined above can certainly apply to your OZ

You posted up in the wrong forum (which is Ok) as im not familiar w/OZ exhaust mods

I clicked the links for ES, LS, and OZ, and followed them to this thread. But I understand if I’m in the wrong part of the site. And I’ll definitely look into your ideas.

Would it be at all possible for me to get a link that I can go to, to take a look at some of the possible components that would work with what I’m looking to get out of my Oz/fit factory mounting locations.
