All in all, I believe the 3071 IS a capable kit that can run low 12s on our ****ty 91 pump and mid to low 11s on racegas w/ the supporting mods.

I'm just trying to figure out why I wouldn't get the ATP 3037 instead of the 3071. I'm not sure the spool is really significanatly slower. I like the streetability of the 3071, I'm just not sure if the 3037 is really LESS streetable.

Yeah, I agree that mid 11s is all this turbo is capable of and that is not a bad thing. Low 12s on pump and mid 11s on race is what I expected at best on this turbo. However, 360whp on Shiv's dyno sounds like an 11.7 ish car to me at 120 mph. I would definitely be happy if I could get 380 whp on Shiv's dyno out of this turbo but 350-360 whp is only 40 or 50 more than I have right now and more lag. Azar, any car in the 11s is plenty fast and when you start flirting in the 11s and lower are you prepared for the maintenace required when parts break. If You really do want a 10sec turbo the gt35/40 is your next upgrade. Can not have the best of both worlds. Awesome spoolup and insane topend. So you compromise with decent spoolup and good topend. I think that is better than(stock) good spoolup and fall on your face topend. Life,marriage and turbos are all about compromise.Be happy with your upgrade and remember you will be in the powerband more than people with bigger turbos.

 

Sensible words IE..

evo's once getting into low 11's and high 10's need to be very strong that means cash and you no longer have a totally driveable car.

over here in the UK there are only a handfull of evo's capable of 10's and under and they are stripped and running 650 whp.

if you can break into the 11's and have a streetable car that spools and drives like stock. put that together with the handling capabilities of the evo. Then there will be virtually NOTHING on the road that will stay with you on an A to B blat.

as a final point...Shivs DD dyno is accurate to real world WHP in the UK here we have tested the same engine on an engine dyno and then in an E7 on a DD and they were within 1HP thats not bad, we also use the rule of thumb as 24% transmission loss so a 342whp on shivs dd would be about 450 crank

 

He refuses to send me my money back till I send him my ECU to reflash it back to stock which does not make any sense at all. He is claiming that some one could of copied his Flash of my ECU and he want to make sure that its not there??. It seems that he does not believe or trust his customer at all. I have nothing against him by any means but he is not easy to deal with and I have no idea how some people here on the forums are saying that he is??? Bottom line I got hosed he did not honor his money back guarantee. Its like you buy something from Best Buy and you go back to return it and they put in this loop so you give up on you money and you just don’t do business with them again. Please help me guys what should I do??

 

his money back guarentee is if you send the ECU back to him... so your not following the guidelines

 

Well you have to look at it like this, you still have his product wether your using it or not. Just send back the ecu and let him remove his flash and he should give you the money back.

 

exactly using your best buy theory, if you bought something at best buy, and then wanted a refund without returning the merchandise, you think they'd give you a refund?

 

So this would mean that anyone with an ecu flashed could call him up and say I dont want your product can you refund my money. But I dont wanna send you my ecu to be flashed back, so I will keep the stuff you did to my ecu. You got something mixed up in your head man!! And your bestbuy quote "s like you buy something from Best Buy and you go back to return it and they put in this loop so you give up on you money and you just don’t do business with them again." But see you returned the product!!!!!

 

He can't send it back because Shiv re-flashes the ECU for injector scaling and added boost control.

 

**** poor planning then by az3ar, he should have told al to refund his money and sent the ecu back then had shiv do it....i'm sure the dynoflash policy never changed.

Are you serious?? You want me to send my ECU all the way back to NY then all the Way back to Shiv to get it tuned? That’s one full week with out my car. Are you putting your feet in my shoes because you are not. What part of money back guarantee you don’t understand?? I understand that I did not meet all the requirements but I would not have gone with Shiv from the first place if AL send me what he promised?? My car ran like **** like ****. He said my car will run like a kitten ( I saw no kitten ) He took a job that he could not do.
