New transmission is simply not an option right now and I have no chance in hell to have anything warrantied. I am going to attempt to disconnect the drive shaft from it's mid point rotate it, and then reconnect it. Reason being is that I did not, for some unknown reason to me, mark the position of the shaft at that point when removing it and believe that it being out of orientation may be causing it to be out of balance, causing the resonance.

Opinions on my theory?

Opinion? No. Intrigued at your results? Hell yes!

so let me ask you this...how tight do you turn your gas cap? it might sound stupid and be just a coincidence, but i kept noticing i would get the P300 towards the bottom of my tank of fuel and i never cranked on the gas cap. once i started really clicking it, no p300 for months, then this last tank i forgot to tighten it and BAM guess what came back today?
i'm at the end of my tank, my walbro is whining and it happened after i was in 5th, wot and had to get off the gas and back on real quick to avoid some jacka$$ coming into my lane.
what do you think? coincidence?

Evoscan or Scan Tech OBDII can pull the codes. Or any simple OBDII handheld

Back from the dead...

We now have a p0300 disable that any tuner can flash to your ecu. This seems to plague the Evo 8 more than the Evo 9

I'm not going to read all through this thread to see what people found the success of the reflash was. I've had it and the bottom line is that the reflash offered by the dealer does not work. Do as in the post above.
