malibu jack's post said it was his boost controler, you have a boost controler in yer mod list.... is that the problem? does your mbc spike? and if so is that what's making you run lean at that rpm?

Nah, I didn't say it was his boost controller, I recommended dropping the boost to see if it was a boost related misfire.. Although it could be a lean spot, I'm more inclined to believe at the moment its probably worn out plugs.. Although that is a good point since I did have to add fuel with some of the aftermarket components I had.. With the S-AFC (at the time I had one) I had to add +2 or +3 fuel from 2800-4000rpm or so.. not really at 5000 but some cars could need a bit (depending on the aftermarket components)

I think its always a good idea to change your plugs first when you experience stumbling or a misfire simply because the plugs just don't last very long under high boost on these cars. PLUS you can read your plugs to see if its too rich or too lean (In general)

sounds like a boost leak...

if u do get plugs, get some HKS S40G's, heat range 8 and its the last plug u will ever need

Problem solved, I just installed back my stock IC pipes and got rid of the Greddy Lower Intercooler pipes.

I also changed my plugs to the NGKBP8ES, I have another question in tightening the spark plugs, I just tightend mine by hand by using the extension wrench.

Evolution7GSR,

Its not fuel cut, I think boost is leaking.

I got it fixed by returning the stock lower ic pipings.

That fixed the problem at WOT

How do you know if you installed the Spark Plugs wrong, or not tightened enough? What will happen?

Car seems to run fine, by just tightening the Spark Plugs by hand via the extension wrench.

there are torque specs for spark plugs aren't there? car might run better because the plugs are oriented the "right" way, if you direct them a certain way your car will run more efficiently cuz the spark hits the fuel in a better way.

i think you might have left some packing plastic in your IC piping. double check the intercooler and the piping for plastic or paper lodged in it.

Did you try just changing the plugs first before removing the pipes? I am curious to know if that helped any since it solved my problem..

Plugs should be 18 ft-lbs, give or take 4 ft-lbs.
