Out of thse 2 mod paths which would you say is the smarter route to go adn why, also what kinda WHP #s do you think i will put down as well as what times do you think i will run?
Next line of mods will be Busher FMIC, and either HKS 264's or 272's, Injectors, then i will let it be untill i need an excedy twin disc.
Just need to get her into the 116-120mph range when all said and done.
Thanks
JB

Personally i wouldnt go either way. You would be spending alot of money for marginal gains on the upper interccoler pipe and mini battery kit. Plus cams would be a better upgrade than an intercooler. I would say to go

-Buschur Air filter $80

-Walbro 255lb $90
-HKS 264/272 cams $560-570
-MR Bov $120
-Utec $1049
+shipping install and tuning, but your parts only cost $2529

Go with the AEM EMS and get a new intercooler from buschur or pruven before you decide to play with the fuel pump, wait untill you get some heavy CC injectors before you go juicing up. Plus you'll thank yourself later for buying the EMS its the best thing you can do and will increase the potential of every mod you install in the future. Just my IMO though...
Take my path and get 310-320 AWHP.
Megan Racing DP
Cat Delete
Custom Catback
HKS RS Intake
Hallman MBC
Walbro Fuel Pump
TurboTrix ECU Flash
$1200
Add cams for another 1K installed for 350+ AWHP.
At these power levels it is a good idea to save for a new clutch and headstuds.

I went custom dynoflash and kinda wish I had gone with an AEM. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. My dynoflash setup runs well but I really wish I had gone AEM for the MAP conversion. I just cant justify spending an extra 1500 for it (cost money to have it tuned right plus you need to buy the MAP sensor) since I am on such a tight budget.
TT isn't fond of doing the mail in reflashes. In my opinion going by the choices you have presented it all boils down to if you are going to stick with the mods you have for a while and want the driveability of the stock ECU or if you will be planning on adding more soon and want the unlimited potential of the EMS. I would start talking to some of the pros before I went either way to get the dirt on both paths
Admittedly I am no professional but feel free to pm me for any info or contacts I could help you out with.
edit: I take back the statement about TurboTrix and mail in flashes as I now see it doesn't apply here since he has the option of them tuning his EMS he obviously has the option of going to them to reflash his ecu in person.

I like Bushur's web site for what the upgrades do on the track. Dyno #'s vary from dyno to dyno way too much for me. True some tracks vary from others but there is not as much difference as dyno's give. This seems like a good thing for you(BMWE30) scince you have a specific trap mph goal
Forget the intercooler and do cams instead. Otherwise mod path # 1 looks good. You lose too much driveability with the standalone, its just not worth it until you get a bigger turbo imo.

#2, stay away from the Dynoflash, the EMS is much better.
I'd skip these parts though and get cams instead. Then you'd be pretty much setup for a fuel pump and Turbo Kit - hello 11's!
-Busher Air filter $80
-Busher Maf pipe $200
-Small battery setup $120
-Busher Upper IC pipe with 1g BOV $330
Note the Buscher stuff is for tracking mostly. It puts down a good number, but their overall driveability is less than other products. Just my experience.

Don't need a pricey standalone to get 320whp (Dynojet). Don't need air filters, MAF pipe, and upper IC either.
Put your money into exhaust, mbc, cams, cam gears, fuel pump, maybe a lower IC pipe, and a Dynoflash (preferrably dyno tuned), or, step up to an Xede/Xedeflash and eliminate the mbc.
