oil is not going to remove any of the turbo lag. Dont always believe what you read in magazines or hear from friends. Stick with what mitsu recommends, Mobil 1 is some of the best oil out there.

i have there gear oil in my car and have always used redline in my past cars. Red line is one of few truly synthetic oils wehre mobil one is not. From what i remember they also guarantee a 1% hp increase just from changing your oil. Granted thats not a lot but still all you did was chang your oil.

I had good experiences with Red Line oils in the past... their 'Water Wetter' product is also very good for turbo cars on hot track days.

i would say try it on your next oil change if you dont feel a difference or dont like it go back to the mobil one. it isnt going to hurt anything to try it out, and its only a couple dollars more then the mobil.

I thought mobil 1 was fully synthetic???
From what i understand mobil one is made by taking crude, breaking it down into a bunch of simple things (powders, liquids, .... you know, organic chemicals) and then put back together into the "oil".
I know other oils kinda go around this process and add non man made oils to man made chemicals and then they call it synthetic, but not mobil 1

yea, i think the redline stuff is really good if you plan on changing it very often.... like in a race enviroment. Its made to make power and reduce friction, but i think i breaks down a little quicker than other oils. So it really depends what you want

It's my understanding that Mobil 1 is also one of the few truly synthetic oils. The ones that aren't are usually labeled as synthetic blends.

me and my friend drove few rallies in his 04 wrx, he was using few different kinds of oils, including mobil1, redline was the ONLY one that oil pressure on idle before and right after stage was same, mobil was cooking almost, 9psi idle, when car cooled down lil bit, 13....redline, NEVER below 20 and i think that is the most important in engine oil, im putting 10w40 redline to my evo and k&n filter
