Evolution's + mitsu = junk

Comeon, I do agree that Mitsu is questionable at some points with quality youre going to far. There are lemons for every company. LEXUS has lemons. I dont think that person goes on the forums saying Lexus is the worst quality do you?
4 Clutches is A LOT. Your car IS MODDED. Maybe you cant drive? Seriously.... or wait... all 4 clutches you got were defective?
You said the stock clutch is weak. Yes, it is, WHEN YOURE MODIFIED and putting down 30% more torque than stock.
Chill out and like the other guys said, get the STi. Report back when you mod our STI and burn through the STi's stock clutches.

just to let you know i also have an audi A6, and it cost a hell of a lot more to maintain that the evo. every little thing that breaks costs 3X more than what it would be on the evo, and for a lot of things you need to take the car right to Audi, which just makes it even more expensive, and a pain in the a$$ if you dont have an audi right near you. so dont think that just because you dont race the car it will be cheaper to maintain, because its not

The fact is that you had bad luck. That sucks, yes. However, don't take it out on everyone by saying that "everything Mitsubishi sucks".
That's dumb.
grow up. Stop *****ing and grow up. And you can keep your self revelations to yourself. Theres plenty of ADULTS here that tune their cars and dont have problems like that. Hell theres even 17 year olds and 16year olds and dont have that problem. I dont think its the whole car tuning thing. Maybe you should just get a auto Merc SL600 throw on some chromes and drive off into the sunset smoking a cigar. As for the rest of us "KIDS" we like what we are doing.
ive got hallman mbc, hard pipe intake, apexi s-afcII, and 3"tbe. no problems at all with the car. when i do launch the car its only from 3,500 rpm and nurse it out. once the car is rolling and the clutch is fully engauged then i get after it. im sure if i did this alot the clutch would take a dump on me but i would much rather buy a new clutch than a new trasfer case. droping the clutch at high rpm(anything over 5k) is like playing with hand gernades. you might get away with it a couple of times but its going to bite you in the *** sooner or later. even fully built race cars break under this kind of load.
zerofrost, could i inquire as to the clutch histories? how long each lasted and what brand they were? i went through a clutch and they are weak for launches. maybe less grippy tires would help you. good luck
