HP gain info.

I was wondering what kind of gains to expect from certain mods such as CAI or K&N drop in, Turbo back exhaust, FMIC?... What would the best TB exhaust be when it comes to bang for buck? Can I get a nice money well spent system for $500 or so? How much should I expect to pay for a nice FMIC... brands and models please. Thanks

Do a search. From talking about a filter, and tbe, I dought you have any serious mods just yet. A front mount is stupid to do now, the stock one is great. I prefer a k&n drop in filter, and find a decent turboback exhaust for $500 is gonna be hard( used of course). Next thing I would get is a boost controller and a basic flash or afc.

CAI will depend on your street surfaces. if you have alot of potholes mixed with rain, you might want to stay away from that setup. the stock airbox with a K&N is good for about 400whp. best bang for the buck is probly the Buschur 3" TBE. FMIC is not gonna benefit you really unless you're running a bigger turbo (some people may debate this point). the easiest I/C kit is made by Perrin for about $799 or so. no modding or cutting & the only DOT approved I/C. i think you should tailor your mods to the gas that is available to you. do your research on EVOM 1st though. Good luck!!!

I plan on sticking with the stock turbo for the life so I guess an FMIC is not neccessary

what are your octane choices up there in Maine??? do you have to do emissions checks? i say get a drop in filter, 3"tbe, manual boost controller, & dynoflash, Ecutek, or XEDE flash is all you need to be a formidable opponent & run 12's reliably. i bet that cold weather does wonders for I/C efficiency...

look for the thread that has the RNR exhaust group buy. they're selling their system for $599. i just got mine, full 3" turbo back w/testpipe and o2 housing & HKS carbon ti and i couldn't be more happy (I paid more for my exhaust though)

the $599 system doesn't have the test pipe,o2 housing or the HKS ti muffler.

check out the site www.rnrracing.com

good luk!

Octane in Maine is 87-93-95 sometimes, I have gotten some basic info on what to do with the car once I get it, some months ahead but the more info I have the better.
