I have a witness to the mileage as well as two people who overheard this kid talking how they took my car out for some fun and yes the mileage should be on the service paper but im sure that will quickly change.....

i hope everything is ok but not to be devils advocate, but its a service dept. they know they can pull a fuse and no miles are recorded. Think about how the audi guy mentioned earlier drove the car home. Also all they will tell you is that they were "Testing" the brakes.

You think that kind of behavior is beneathe those **** suckers.

I hope you nail there asses to a ****ing wall, get a DM involoved if you have to.

Important detail:

Was the car reported driven during the dealership's open hours or past closing time?

thats really too bad, sorry to hear! A friend of mine had his in for service, dealer promised it would be inside over night, when he got there next day his front seats were stolen, headunit, greddy profece01 and radr detector. He raised some hell because of it and made out with about a MUCH deserved 4k from the dealer. I hope you get the prob solved , i know if i were in your shoes, i would have snapped, and most likely mutilated the detail kid

I agree...8 miles is WAYYYY to much. I have had my car in for brake service, and for a shift grind. Both times I had it in for service, they ever only put 1 mile on the odometer.

But I still check the miles everytime beforeI take it in, because you never know.

Sorry to hear this man, this is exactly the reason why my car NEVER, EVER goes to the dealership. I just don't trust them!!! I bought the car from them and that was it. Unless it is some fatal, hardcore, extremely needed recall, then I might consider it. Even then, I would just take the day off and wait for the car and if it goes on a test drive, I'll be sure as hell to be in the car also. Sorry you had to go through this, but as always, live and learn. Hope you resolve this quickly.

No doubt!! I totally agree with you there. My car will not see the dealership unless there is one super serious recall; and even then I'd be nervous. I've worked at dealerships and I know how bad they can be.

Best of luck with this. Makes me sad to even read the story.

this sounds like my car. i was told that the tech took the car out and drove around a little cause i had a bad t-case seal. when i check the odo it read 8 miles. i was pissed, but not as pissed as i was when i got home. all of sudden by oil pressure gauge stopped working (and I know they had to move it to get the t-case) and when i was under the car, the idiot tech put the same old oil filter on after he removed it (and boy did he crush the crap out of the filter). i called the dealership the next day. they were like bring it back in...i was like PEACE. i am never going back there again. I AM DONE....FYI; Shelton Mitsu in CT. do not go there.

hope everything works out for you.

My dealership is very good to me but, I still hate letting them do anything on the car simply because the quality of work is never as high as it would be if I did it myself. It just stupid little things they do or don't do but, it still pisses me off and my OCD makes me redo whatever it was they halfassed.
