I'm sorry guys but I have to bring this thread back from death. Finally, after having my Unos MBC sitting at home waiting for installation for almost a month, I installed it today. Last week I tried to install it, but removing the airbox, upper IC pipe, and working in such a tight space was not funny, so I put the airbox back and dropped the installation idea. Today I decided to give it another try, but this time I tried it from the bottom... what a great idea! We all know how tedious (sp?) the undertray removal could be, but it's as easy as removing 35 bolts that don't take more than 10 sec. each. Once the undertray is removed everything is easy and right there in front of you. The actual MBC installation didn't take more than 10 min., I suggest doing it from the bottom if you're thinking about doing this mod.

Another thing, I didn't remove the hose that goes from the boost control selenoid to the intake pipe, I don't think we need to remove it.

Once the car was ready to drive I tested the settings. I used the stiff spring and set it at the lowest setting (all the way to the minus). The car was hitting only 15PSI, so I followed some of the suggestions on this thread at gave it 6 clicks. Now the car was hitting 23PSI and then settle down to 22.5PSI. Once again I gave it 1 click less (so now it's at 5 clicks from the lowest possible) and the car now reaches ~21.5/22PSI and stays there all the way to redline, either on 1st, 2nd or 3rd (I didn't have time/room to test 4th or 5th).

This is a great product, I'm glad I got the Unos.

I put mine on 2 nights ago. Since when do you need to remove the UICP? I guess if you have Poppey arms maybe? I just squeezed my hands in and removed all the hoses and added mine in. Only thing i took off was the air box to do this. It was -3 degrees out side and it took about 15 minutes to do it in the dark with just a street light. Holds like a champ at 21psi with heavy spring!

I can't believe you did it from the top without removing any hose. People usually remove the airbox, upper IC pipe, and some other people remove also the fan and radiator hose! I can't see how you reached the turbo and wastegate without removing anything but the airbox.

It's been done quite easily w/o removing the UICP or the radiator. I've done plenty of MBC installs that way.

That is impossible on my car with my stock ic/piping and such. There's no way to reach down and get any sort of manual dexterity where the turbo nipple is without removing the IC piping or the radiator fan. I started off by doing the IC piping, which was a major PITA, but then I figured out how to get the radiator fan out (not easy, but I have it down pat now) without messing up anything. I'd love to be able to install/uninstall the MBC without removing that stuff, but it's simply impossible with my car (and my arms/hands).
