Wait.... You're telling me that you had 93 octane in the car when it made 360whp? So it was

Intake
Cat Back exhaust
and rom tune?

360 sounds like a ton of whp for that mod list. had to be a ton of boost going on

so was the car running like crap on the flash? Then you brought it to the dealer and the dealer said that the ecu was bad and swapped a new ecu in and then your motor blew? im still confused?

My thoughts exactly. There's no way that 93 octane is going to support that much whp given the few mods that he has safetly. The boost would have to be turned up past stock for sure.

I just know if you look in the dyno slips and look in the 360whp range there's a lot of work done.

Indeed. If you only added an exhaust+intake you should have not damaged anything w/ the stock tune, I'm sure the damage was done before you swapped out the ECU.

360WHP = test mule.

I'm really sorry but I sincerly thank you for informing the community and being very understanding about the whole issue.

P.S. I'm sure some groupies will be flaming you soon.

PRUVEN PERFORMANCE Evolution IX Today, 04:04 AM #1

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PRUVEN PERFORMANCE EVOLUTION IX My car is still at PRUVEN PERFORMANCE hopefully it will not blow up this time!! ,, my car blow the engine after some ECUTECK problems and other issues hopefully the guys at PRUVEN PERFORMANCE take care of me. I Never expected a EVOLUTION 9 with intake and cat back exhaust would blow the engine.

Careful on modification to your New EVO IX so you dont wind up like me. once you add intake and software kiss your warrenty GOOD BYE!!!

Dealer will not honer any modifications!!!

YOU BEEN WARNED!!!

I will keep you posted if AL from PRUVEN PERFORMANCE does right by me like he said he would.

First let me say that AL does not work for PRUVEN PERFORMANCE, but works out of their shop. So you might want to take their name off of the title. If that is the case.

second you need to provide more detials.

What is why? Because one fishy thing happened with a flash that has not been confirmed yet? The SAFC can't properly manipulate the 6 ECU maps on the IX, and flashes have been used for 3 years now without worry. This thread is not a valid reason for saying you choose to use an SAFC.

I don't know how this guy got 360whp on pump gas. Now, he's saying the exhaust wasn't even installed when the dyno was done? The whole thread is very confusing, because all the details are changing with each post. We'll probably need Al's input to get the real story. Hopefully, though, sharkbite will be compensated for the damages if they weren't his fault. He already said that Al is taking care of him, so I'm not exactly sure why he posted the thread. It's best to post it after the fact rather than cause all this speculation based off partial details that currently don't add up.

an SAFCII is more likely to blow up than a Flash. An SAFCII does not control ignition or fuel timing.
