Turbo Timer Install......

I know the topic of turbo timers has been covered, and i have tried searching for the answers to this question but i cant seem to find it. So to any of you who have put one in, how hard is ti to install the turbo timer, i have read it is a plug and play if you get the wiring harness, but what harness do you use? where does it connect? do you have to remove any interioir pannels or anything? any info would be much apreciated cus i think my evo is coming this week and i need to figure out if i am doing this my self or if i need to get someone else to do it

Thanks

I haven't done it myself but since noone is answering you I'll give it a shot. From what I have seen peoepl say a 2G eclipse harness will work correctly. I think thats 95-99 but double check that. You need to access the ignition harness on the drivers side below teh stearing column. You;ll probably have to remove that panel at your knees, but it consists of 2 screws and some snaps from what I remember, but the easiest way fro yout o tell that is go take a look.

1)the post is 7 years old, doesn't surprise me that the link doesn't work
2) you might want to ask people that own the same car as you, we don't own X's

Greddy's tt has a plug and play harness, and Lancershop sells it for $20. I'm pretty sure that's where I got mine.

Trust me, that dont work. You can get the turbo timer to work. But the RPM & the Speed sensor i cant find it. Tried it for 5 hours.

I wouldn't worry about messing with trying to find an rpm/speed signal, just hook the timer up, it's very simple. The GReddy tt has 4 settings that you can program, just set it and forget it. If you are looking for this info for an X, then yes, this thread is in the wrong place
