Stock Evo 9 + tune = power gain????
No, Apex, you get the MOST gains on a IX with a tune. It doesn't matter if you're stock or modded...tons of power to be gained from a tune.
A $199 mail-in flash will make more power than an $800 TBE.

You will gain roughly 30whp from a tune, best bang for the buck mod you can do, there are a few people that do flashing, and you can do it yourself if you know what you are doing. But with your car being 100% stock I am pretty sure you don't have the logging equipment you would need to do it on your own. Get a mail in flash or a custom tune if there available where you are at.
I personally did this myself earlier in the year and yes, the results are very noticeable compared to a completely stock Evo. If you have no plans on further modifying the car, I would recommend doing this.

Yeah, you can get custom tuned by Dynoflash at his home shop in Stamford, CT, or you can drive up to Buschur Racing in Norwalk, OH, today to get custom tuned, since Dynoflash is there.
Al will be at the E-town shootout, but he likely won't have time to do any custom tuning during the race. You can get EvoScan yourself right now by purchasing and downloading it, but you will need the Tactrix cable in order to interface with your ECU and laptop. This cable is also used for EcuFlash.
