Smaller PVC valve?

http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ne&prodid=1203

This says it requires a smaller PVC valve, or elimination of it all-together? What do they mean by this? Also, what is a PVC Valve? And how do I eliminate it or make it smaller?

and the pvc valve is for letting air thru and no oil. it is like a check valve. but you dont realy need it. i got a catch can on mine so the oil that blows by dont go back into my intake manifold. keeps it nice and cleen

The $12 is for the shipping cost. So, if I got an Oil Catch can, I could just install it with the valve cover?

not that it matters, since 90% of the population says the same thing, but it is a PCV VALVE not PVC. PCV = positive crankcase ventilation.

For normal driving I'd want a PCV valve. It might make the intake manifold dirtier but the engine will stay cleaner. For high speed track driving the engine will start to pump a lot of oil out through the PCV valve, I've heard as much as a quart an hour. So then a catch can makes sense. Also, without a PCV valve you become a polluter.

I heard that the EVO 7 cover doesn't really fit well with the 8's Some had problems with oil leaks not sure why though because it looks the same except for the raised "Evolution" name.
