Very nice car in my opinion. If somebody had the money, I wouldn't fault them for going with the BMW 335i. Still like so many others have already stated the EVO and 335i are very different cars, and it depends on what you are looking for the most from a car.

i would take the 335i...its got a twin turbo and is as fast as the e46 M3..and there are a bunch of shops around chicago that are tuning these cars so there probably be faster than the new e92 M3

LOL, why is the BMW a POS exactly? Just because you don't like it?

I love the evo, but in all this car vs. that car thread, I try to be as nuetral as possible and avoid the fanboyism.

Also I feel like there are a couple of things I need to say, yes the BMW 335i does take well to mods, Vishnu just tuned another one (XEDE and Exhaust) to 330whp and 357wtq. But people look who is tuning the car, Shiv, who has got to be one of the best tuners money can buy. But that's exactly it, for one of the best tuners, it costs money. He charges I believe $750 for a flash for an EVO IX (and I do not think this price includes the dyno time). But for that your pretty much guarranteed 40-50whp from his tune and believe or not but his stage one for EVO IXs make around 330-340whp (on a Dyno Jets) and costs a smudge under $2,000. My point is yes the 335i takes well to mods, but it is a very expensive car to modify. Shiv I believe is charging around $3,000 for XEDE and Exhaust combination for 335i owners.

No we don't, but I've learned that being on the internet, you have to have a bit thicker skin. You'll see a lot of borderline sh*t, that sometimes you'll just have to shrug off, but then there are things that are totally unacceptable and they are usually banned immediately. I remember one guy had an avatar of f*cken Pol Pot, a dictator who tortured and mass murdered thousands, maybe even millions in South East Asia, pissed me the f*ck off. But like I said got to have a thicker skin.

Wow... you guys are all nuts. The Evo is a better performer in every way.

Honestly anyone shopping around for a new BMW while looking at Evos is not looking at Evos for the right reason...

I prefer my raw car that handles like a king in any condition and can be modded to 500 hp fairly easily.

Yea Im a little partial. But honestly my friend has had nothing but problems with all the bimmers he leases. Since he works for BMW.

Z3- Leaked and flooded the whole car. Electrical took a crap from the water.

325- Windows went up and down by themselves/ Alarm problems

X3- Motor Issues

745-(His Dads)- The whole "I Drive" system took a crap

He's had issues with other too I just can't remember. He hates them but at 300 a month insurance included and it's taken right out of his check. He just brings them back when there is a problem and they give him another. As he says "POS"

Not only all that but BMW parts cost a bundle. + they suck to work on. They are not bad cars to drive but don't start having to fix and rebuild things. After market sucks too. So the though of them coming out with a TT cars makes me cringe in every way possible.

Oh yea and the tranny in a guy at works brand new M3 just took a crap. It was covered after they gave him a hell of a hassle. (Oh thats right BMW doesnt hassle you on warranty work) . Yea right

Wow one of the best posts I ever read. I couldn't have said it better myself, and that goes for a lot of other cars compared to the EVO.

In a heartbeat. Oh wait, no Bimmer dealership to fix it around here.

Love BMW's and I expect that one to be a hoot.

7. Comfort
8. Amenities
9. Build quality
10. Re-sale

And the scales tip...

Don't get me wrong - I like my Evo but I agree w/ an earlier post: an all-around comparison between these two ain't fair. This orange just tastes better...
