the pictures we took didnt really come out great, they actually down play the damage in my opinion so they really arent worth posting. i am going to the dealer tomorrow and i will try to get some pics then.

my insurance company is sending in their own adjuster before we allow them to touch the car. i am getting a new clutch out of this as it was discussed with the dealer already. hopefully i can get a better aftermarket one instead of an oem replacment. something tells me the aftermarket will be cheaper but his insurance might not cover it.

i got rid of the awful h3 they gave me that night, and now im driving a dodge charger (no not the hemi) so at least i get my satelite radio back, i was going through withdrawl.

besides that thanks for all the tips and well wishes. i apreciate it
I hope everything goes well man. Is Faulkner the one in NE philly?

What happened was i am on the right lane going behind a car that is going around 55mph i decide to pass him, going at around 65 only and when i pass him i notice that in front of him is driving the cop so i imediatly hit the breaks not giving a chance to even passing him the cop's car. He gives me the fine cause he says if i was passing him i was going faster than the limit which was 60 but he had no concrete proof and i didn't even pass him. the licence fine he gave me, he said to me i had 60 days to get the nc one and i didn't get it, i told him that i come back and forth from pr and that i have a house over there and that the last time i was over there was last week. to this he said that it didn't work like that cause i was studying in unc so i was more time in nc than pr. The law says you got 60 days to get the licence since your living in the state, technically i got a house in pr and in nc but like i said i was last week in pr and have the boarding pass to prove it is this a good defense or what should i say in court?

WTF??

Wow, first I had seen this. I would have been so pissed off I would have ended up in jail.

NO way in hell I'd settle for anything less than a new EVO. NO way. Once a car is wrecked I don't feel it is every the same. If it was something I didn't care about it would be one thing but MY EVO, no way. Find me a new one and you can have the old one you wrecked.

Makes me sick.

I agree with David. This is where the Lawyer comes in, this was not a simple Joy Ride, your car was taken off the lot. I would consider this to be a stolen car, once that attendent took it off the lot. The owner of the lot know this and why he's tring to be so cool with you, he smells lawsuit. Nothing less then a brand new IX!

That's awfully harsh. Would you at least sterilize the needle first?

I think this is a different situation than "the valet stole the evo off the lot". A lot of valet services in Old City take your keys from you in front of the restaurant/club that you're going to, and then have to drive on city streets to get to the parking lot. So if this is the case, I don't think the car would be considered stolen off of company property, because it wasn't on company property when the keys were handed off.

I know that area of Philly pretty well, and parking is a PITA. I've considered using a valet a couple of times myself, but my cheap side always takes over

That being said, I feel for ya dude. Hope you get everything worked out.

little update..

just got back from the dealership and they seem be to taking good care of me. im looking at 9 grand in parts and labor, including 4 new shoes, new door, some suspension parts, 2 wheels, ect ect ect...
no frame damage amazingly but the left rear suspension is totally out of whack. my insurance company hasnt had their adjuster look at it yet, so hopefully it will get more expensive.
by the way he was saying to have it totalled would be like 21 grand.... that seems really high to me

suave- yea its the delaer up off halderman.
