That's low even for Buschur's dyno, which reads anywhere from 10% - 15% lower than an average DynoJet.

Your torque numbers look low too, even with the stroker.

Off topic BTW.

For the OP:

Evom is great to find help on various questions but please provide as much relevant info as you can.

A dyno chart would be nice too.

Not to thread jack
I have a very similar problem with my IX SE
I got 3 " TBE, Walbro, AEM intake, hallman set to 21 psi at 3rd gear, A/F set to 11:6 ish, very cold day, tuned by local tuner, and defi's boost reading at PSI

Best I got was 295whp/290tq on DYNOJET

Then I realize that on 92 octane I can run up to 23 PSI ish, and the tuner did not do any timing. So with all those I should be close to 320-ish on dynojet which sounds ok to me.

At the time of the tune, the engine was producing knocks and the tuner said he didn't feel comfortable pushing the car, so he eliminated the knock and didn't touch the timing.

I am going to get New plugs(1 step colder), magnacor wires, an oil change and try again.

....Am I on the right track?

That sounds about right given your mods, especially on a mustang dyno which reads low to begin with.

I dunno, I dynoed on a Mustang and put 300hp/300 torque.

Here are my mods:
Very SLIGHTLY ported turbo
3" TBE w/ No cat
Boost controller set to 21psi
Full I/C pipe set
Intake w/ TurboXS Maf adapter & Filter
HKS SSQ BOV
Walbro 255
Custom Tune

Those are the only real power adders I have..

So, I would think that my 300/300 would be really good for my mods,
but for yours, especially having cams and an AEM to me it seems a little low.

Guys, please stop asking about your power - make your own thread and stop thread-jacking.

Akisan2- do NOT get Magnecor wires. I have no idea where you'd get the idea to buy and install those wires. I repeat, DO NOT DO IT. Also, you said "a local tuner" yet he didn't touch timing and didn't diagnose the knock. Well, I would hope you'd realize that means he's not a real Evo tuner and has no idea what he's doing. You should go to a real Evo tuner - not sure why people are starting to cheap out and go with all these newbie tuners using EcuFlash. It's a very, very bad idea...

Going with the colder plugs is a idea I can agree with. Personally though, I'd stick with the stock wires over the magnacores. I've heard mixed reviews and have had mixed experiences with them. The oem wires are actually perform pretty well. But to each their own.

11/6 is slighly leaner than some tuners like. 11/5 is considered safe. I've run 12/0 before with similar mods and 24 psi on 93oct and stock timing before without a knock issue before. I have currently found that the car really likes to be at around 11/5. Anything leaner than that I actually lost power. If you're seeing knock, it'd be a good idea to richen it up a little.

No, don't just randomly richen the car because it's knocking. Knock is not solely caused by AFRs. It's a combination of AFR, timing, boost, ambient temps, spark, turbo efficiency, octane (and probably other factors, too). You need to find out what is causing the knock, especially if timing was not increased, rather than just richen the AFRs. Anyway, this should be in a separate thread.

Well, yes I kinda realized after, but hey you live and learn.
Ok, no wires
And I am thinking about Turbo XS UTEC, later in the springtime.
At the moment, I felt that this local shop was a decent place, which they are, but after all said and done, I felt it could have been better.
Either way I still have space to play so that'll be the next fun part of the project.
Thanks for the input

UTEC? Ugh, no, man...come on, where are you getting these ideas? I don't even know how a noob would even THINK of or hear about using UTEC now that EcuFlash is out. EcuFlash is a FREE flashing program that DIRECTLY modifies the tune in the ECU, not an expensive piggyback that just manipulates inputs to the ECU.

Just get flashed by an expert Evo tuner - simple as that and very inexpensive.
