Just relocate to the trunk a full size battery and call it a day.

Already been suggested and I don't feel like spending the time or money to do so properly.

There I said it.

obviously the car payments are draining his pockets. **** looks like he cant even afford $1.25 to pressure spray the engine bay . sad thing is he wasted his money on a crappy motorcycle batt that problaly wont hold up for 5 months .what a worthless thread . ****ty diy grounding kit . horrible spark plug cover. and not to mention the batt kit.. let him start the car on fire and bur it to the ground . then maybe we wont have to see his horrible diy threads.

Thank you although I can tell you the jig we use to make this took a couple of months to create. It will bolt in perfectly and you will not have to worry about it or adjust it again. Install and forget, some of the best mods out there.

Soon we will have a GB on our tray. Stay tuned for that.

I am honestly shocked and appalled at the response from Dynoflash. You're a vendor and yet you choose to blatantly flame a member for doing something ALL tuners started off doing; messing around on their own cars. Dave Buscher was not born with the knowledge to work on Mitsus nor did Shep magically wake up one day and know how to work his magic on trannies. These fine folks worked on their own cars as well as cars their friends and family own, have a knack for making things work better than stock, and decided to use their skills to put food on the table while helping out other import lovers with tried and true products. Everyone from you Al to techs in shops like the famed Top Secret shop started off at one point; falling in love with cars while tinkering around with our own or our friends' cars.

Kudos to the OP for trying something out on his own and the best of luck to you in making something work. You're on the right track from what I can see, just a little more time and energy and you could have a pretty good piece there.

To the vendors that choose to flame members, think back about where you once started from. Sometimes we all have to look back on the road we've traveled in life.

Looks great, all he has to do is fab up a better tray or hold down bar, and place a piece of rubber over the positive terminal. Does the battery have any starting issues in the cold?

Not so far. I think the tiedown that I fabbed up should work well. Its been in the high 20's-mid 30's for the past few days and its performed flawlessly.

hey guys you gotta remember...alot of people who own evos are previous dsm owners (me for one) and are always looking for a way to save a buck...hell look at the ebay exhaust,o2, and intercooler....it works fine...just installed the exhaust on my girlfriends car..sounds, and drives sweet..noticable gain and differnce on a stock evo....piping is piping..in my eyes....so why not save a few bucks...the battery on the other hand is a little differnt...there is a reason these batterys are on motorcycles and not cars.....ive had a bike for a few years and i know these batterys do not last long at all....im almost positive..after a year you will be back at the store getting another one...they just crap the bed real fast..for some reason..also keep in mind your alternator might fry that battery since its setup for a lot more charging then what that battery needs.......good luck
personally on the battery...i went with the buscher mini setup

It took you a couple months to create a jig for that? Who does your fabrication? I could make a jig for that in a matter of a couple hours.

Everyone needs to lighten up. The masses seem to be misinformed and under the impression that everything on your car has to be a part sold specifically for an evo. Little do you know that a lot of things like mini batteries are nothing more than rebadged motorcycle batteries most of the time anyway. Not to mention many of the other fuel pumps, shocks, etc. that are nothing more than repackaged and price-boosted parts that are for an "evo." Its a little rediculous these days, but thats how the business works I guess.
