yea those vettes are amazing cars hahah

I never planned to take my car beyond cams/tune (with supporting mods of course) I mostly wanted it due to its handling capabilities but maybe its the boy racer look making me want to leave the door unlocked @ night and never see it again. 75k used doesnt quite fit my budget right now, more like half of that. I freakin love cobras until I sit in 1. my goodness those Ford interiors are absolute trash

PS: i've owned the car for about half a year now.

I traded my EVO for a 3/4 ton pickup and I miss my EVO sooooo much!!! I feel safe as hell way up there in the truck (lifted, bigger tires), but I really miss the speed and handling of the EVO. I bought a sportbike at the same time as the truck and figured that would satisfy my need for speed, which it does, but I don't feel even remotely safe riding the bike. Come springtime I will be selling the truck and bike to purchase an EVO X RS. You'd be hard pressed to find another car for $30k that can offer the level of handling, acceleration, aftermarket support, and overall practicality of the EVO.

The only other car I've been considering is the new BMW 335xi Coupe, but even with an uncle that works at a BMW dealership I kinda doubt I'm going to get the price down enough to comfortably afford one.

I feel the same way when I am thinking about the car payment or sitting and going in stop and go traffic. But when I get to drive it I fall in love again. I would like something more civilized (auto w/manual shift mode) but I just wouldn't enjoy it as much as the Evo.

But if i never got the evo, i'd be sittin there just chewing my nails on how bad i want an evo.

It's funny, how the same car can be completely different experiences for different people. I've had my 03 for over 2 years now, with 97k on the odometer and it's been great to me.

A couple nights ago, a thought of selling her wandered into my mind. Then I drove her to work and realized I was nuts.

The only regret to getting the car is all the attention that I get from cops... if they would only leave us all alone it would be great... that is the only reason that I wish I went with a more luxury style car like an IS250 or something.... just to cruise and not be bothered...

My Evo has treated me great, and I don't regret buying it at all, but it's just time to upgrade. Even though my evo is faster, my Ferrari 360 is much more of a treat to drive, and I want something a little more exciting for a daily driver.

if you treat the evo right, mod it mindfully and carefully navigating the experience that is rife on these boards, you won't get sick of it - you'll fall deeper in love with it. . .the Z06 is an amazing car, and very reasonably priced (do they have the unlimited dirvetrain warranty on those yet?), but it's a sports car, not an awd sports sedan. . .apples to oranges. . .

No regrets for me and my evo.
I guess it was the opposite for me. It was not love at first sight but when I set in the car and drive it, it was way better than sex.

Before I tell my story I must say that I was never a big fan of 4drs sedan...I always though cars that go fast have to have 2drs and only 2 seats.

Anyway here's how it goes...I have been a fan of the Evo for very long time, I know the Evo was such a legend in Japan long before Mitsu decide to sell them here in US.
But Seeing in photographs, I never like the styling. Infact I hate it so much of the styling I told many people it look like any boring/plain old boxy 4 drs corolla and camry out there but when the IX have the new facelift I went to check it out on the dealership and what happend next was I came home with a brand new IX MR.
Standing up close to the Evo, especially infront the car it look so agressive. It look 10X better than in photos...I guess the evo dont really photograph well because you simply cannot capture the sexy line and curves of the widen fenders.
I'm falling in love with it more and more everyday, I really wish that I have more money laying around so I can get all the parts I need to make her look good and go faster.

I have wanted an EVO for a long time. I was driving around in a 2k1 Civic LX, Body kit lowerd, bolt on's, DVD, system the whole 9 yards. Me and my wife had a son and a 2 door vic was just a pain in the butt you know. Trying to get the boy in and out of such a small car. Not to mention the car was lowered a lot and I had to plan out routes to drive around town. Became more of a hassell than fun. So I fugred I needed a more practical car, something with 4 doors, but I wanted some thing I could still have fun with. Hey an EVO would do. Like I said I wanted one for a couple years now, it is a 4 door car, and fun to drive. I like my EVO alot. No regrets. My son loves it as well, he likes riding in my rather than the mini van my wife has. That will gone soon as well, hopefully get her a new car. Drop some MODS on the EVO and have a good time with it. Thats my plan.

I think by the time I finish making my Evo as fast as a Corvette I will probably spend almost as much as a new Corvette. Plus I have to deal with all the reliability issues that arise with a modded car and I have a feeling the Vette would fair a whole lot better with the ladies and maybe even the police. Also let's face it a Vette is a much better looking car than an Evo.

Then again, everytime it rains (especially when it rains on track days)or I use the car to go skiing with some friends I don't regret my decision.

ive had my evo for about about a year and a half...i spend hours washing waxing and just staring at her...plus your ferrari 360 and z06s are nice and fun to look at but when u get right down to it a built evo would roast either one for half the price
