Anyone here wish they didnt buy an evo?
as for the convenience factor, the evo has it for a sports sedan. 99% of the time im ridin alone in my car so thats not really a big issue for me. Since im stuck with it for about 2yrs, i might end up slightly modding it to see if i can atleast enjoy it while i have it.
I have a brother just like many of you. He gets interested in something, goes out and buys it. Spends all kinds of money, gets tired and sells it. I on the other hand, tend to research a little more. I ask myself questions such as "do I really want this?" " is there something else I would rather spend my money on?", "What are my plans for the car?". I only buy **** that I plan on owning for a long time. I knew the Evo wasn't the fastest car out there, and I don't have to beat Corvettes and Vipers to make my day. The Evo is what it is, love it or hate it.
i dont think you quite understand on why some of us get tired of things...its not due to lack of research. Hell, i've only joined EvoM for what...3yrs? about 2yrs prior to owning my first evo, i was on these forums daily just reading up on various threads getting to know the evo. I know what the car is and the capabilities behind it. But somethings get played out...and its not the speed factor...do you really think i want an is250 cuz it can beat an evo..pffft.. i want a vette z06 and i prob won't even race it. I just like it cuz I LIKE IT and i've wanted it long before the evo came to the states
Cant believe how many Evo owners I am seeing that regret buying the car. If you really dislike it that much, get rid of it.
I personally have not regret buying my car. Only thing I am sick of is waiting for the ***** to be done with all its mods/install so I can finally enjoy it.

thats the only time i regret owning one when i cant drive it.Other that it was the best 30+ plus i could have spent and the car,cant say that about the mods,and what other place to be right next too the ring,
I bought my Evo in 4/03. Very early. My only regrets are:
1. The more desireable options becam available later;
2. Mitsubishi might be the worst company on Earth in dealing with service issues. I have had three major fit and finish issues with my Evo all of which were denied warrantee coverage. According to the Mitsu dealer based body shops involved, all three incidents were due to either poor quality control or materials. (Poorly aligned door caused paint chipping, poorly cleaned dirty sheet metal before paint caused oxidation through the paint and clear, and the classic clearcoat on the wing issue).

no regrets here. fully stock and will stay as it is. a ggp evo9mr with extra sets of BBS with LM25 for the winter. will never trade it in and will keep it as immaculate as when I bought it new and then some more.
any season and weather, 5 grown people, load it up with crap from sam's club, get 23mpg combined city/highway, it's a very practical vehicle. plus beating 3/4 of the local PCA at their autox when i had 4 people in the car confirmed the evo may be one of the best real world, many-conditions vehicles ever to be so far underrated. no regrets - if i could only have one car to do everything i needed in life, the evo would be that sole car, and it would do many things successfully. which, ironically, makes it a very mature choice of vehicle.

Hmm cheap...easy to make fast...outhandles cars 2x the sticker price..and its 4 doors...i drove my friends 06 m5....beautiful car...beautiful engine...but it just doesnt give me that feeling of being cemented to the road that my evo gives me....Plus the evo's steering is amazing...Ive owned this car 6-7 months...when i step on the gas/launch it i realize why i love this car sooo much
I'm only mad at mine right now because I'm getting steering wheel shake for no good reason.
When everything is running great and I have no issues like the one above, I love the car. The other times I think about ditching the Evo for something more comfortable and less worry some.
