Anyone here wish they didnt buy an evo?
I was kinda regretting buying it until I took my Evo to the Nurburgring. My 2nd lap I was wailing on a new M5 wagon and a Boxter S. I even think in one of my vids you can hear me say "I take it all back, this car is awsome"!
I'm so glad I didnt buy that G35 Coupe 6MT!!

People that don't like it should sell them. I mean what made you buy an Evo in the first place? Was it just the thing to do? or was it the Fast and the Furious Movies?
Most American's don't know what they want. They have nothing better to do or spend their money on and just get what's the most popular thing. I am sure if you were in another Car you'd be saying the same thing. I love the Evo I just wish I would of built my own car from the ground up. I would have started with either a nissan 240sx or an FD Rx7 instead, because of the warranty and car payments I am forced to keep the car stock. until I finish paying her off in a couple of years.
Take the car to an autoX or Circuit and drive the car for what it was meant to do.

Yeah I did it with my Suby and I now do it in stock form with the Evo. I just don't want to get denied service like my brother. Whom now has no warranty for installing BPU's upgrades to his Evo. I mean they don't cover normal wear and tear items like brakes, tires, and , my weak clutch.(should've gone 5speed.)
Sometimes I do wish that I had a different car. Just like many of you guys, I have really thought about buying a different car (335I coupe, IS350, etc). Anytime I really try to man up (or woman up rather) and get rid of the Evo I can't. I absolutely love this car. This car has become my life. Even though most people that drive Evo's are douchebags, I have met a lot of good friends that have Evo's. Right before I bought the Evo I was basically getting out of the car scene after having long painful years with Honda drama. I had a few engines blow on me and had my T3/T04E 2000 Civic Si stolen after I had just replaced the engine and added an additional $4,200 dollars worth of parts to it. I still loved cars of course but I was really upset. The Evo changed everything. There's something about that damn car that just gets me going like no other car that I have ever driven (except for the Lotus Exige S). I have decided to keep the Evolution forever and to wait a couple years and buy another daily and a V-10 NSX...although I'm not sure if it will be in that order...
I traded my EVO for a 3/4 ton pickup and I miss my EVO sooooo much!!! I feel safe as hell way up there in the truck (lifted, bigger tires), but I really miss the speed and handling of the EVO. I bought a sportbike at the same time as the truck and figured that would satisfy my need for speed, which it does, but I don't feel even remotely safe riding the bike. Come springtime I will be selling the truck and bike to purchase an EVO X RS. You'd be hard pressed to find another car for $30k that can offer the level of handling, acceleration, aftermarket support, and overall practicality of the EVO.
The only other car I've been considering is the new BMW 335xi Coupe, but even with an uncle that works at a BMW dealership I kinda doubt I'm going to get the price down enough to comfortably afford one.

Word. I want a 335xi too but won't be able to afford it
this is my 8th, yes, 8th car... and i'm 26 years old (in another 3 weeks). i love the car, wouldn't have made any other purchase. i also own a civic that i'm trying to sell, and i wouldn't go back to it. the civic is a reliable car, but i wanted something much more exciting, with power, looks, and handling... and wrapped in one neat package. i don't regret my purchase, and neither should you (first poster). get something, or do something, and never look back. regrets are for the WEAK!
this is my 6th car and im 21..i shoulda had about 10 cars and 1 bike by the time im 26...i hope its only 7 by then im tryna "settle down" and stick to 1 car...but it for sure wont be an evo sorry to say. Its just not my cup of tea anymore. Kind of like how you grew out of your civic..im growin out of my evo. (not physically ahha) i've been lookin into a nice black on black 300C Hemi or a G35 6MT..or if im lucky, the IS250
