Jacking The Car Up

Am I the only one whos bent the pinch weld from jacking the car up? Should I just leave it or should I bend it back? What did you do? Kinda sucks cause this car is my pride and joy I know you cant see it but I know its there and it just eats at me.

try to straighten it out if it doesnt cause any more damage... maybe use a wood block instead of metal to metal contact

Guess im not the only one. Is there any way to like replace the whole weld in the future if it gets to bad? Its like a burn hole no1 can see but you know its there and your car no longer feels new.

Nah man it wont weaken anything its a pinch weld. Its not like you put the jack through the floor or even pushed the floor up for that matter. Auto manufatuers expect that they will get a little bent up as they make that weld available to put the jack. Its a race car not only that its a rally car

I know it's a little too late for you guys, but these products would've helped - pics below. The service manual recommends rubber pads. No bending/crushing on my Evo's welds.

I use the lift at work. If they bend they bend, it's no big deal.
