Get an s2k or sti. That price range could get you an 05 sti. Best imo. Even though I got an s2k and evo

Would you still recommend the S2000 after watching this? Remember, we're talking performance here. Not fun in the sun.

AWD > FWD aka WWA (wrong wheel drive)...... Although it's superficial...with the SRT comes the image. Sideways hat 16yo street racing with a "stage 2 BOV" on a stock turbo and cut exhaust. Evo guys are typically mid 20's and up, auto'xers and actual motorsport enthusiasts (not to sound too bias)

For the price of an SRT to make as fast as Evo would be cost difference of getting an Evo...but to get a good priced Evo + the mods you would spend on dumping into an SRT, it would be far behind ..not to mention an SRT will NEVER hang with anything AWD on the tracks, canyons or auto-x's...

Ever considered getting a WRX? Def a fun car you can get with low miles for anywhere from 14-20k. & can make fast for cheap as well

I have a friend who is the same age as me who was looking at getting a fast 4 cylinder turbo after her rode in my Evo. He found an ACR SRT-4 (which I think is just an SRT-4 with APC parts on it) and asked me what I thought of it. I tried to steer him away from getting it because of it being WWD, because of the stereotyping that he would get, and because of it's outright fuglienss. He decided to get it anyway saying that he could throw some wider rims and tires on it and do some suspension work and make it grip / handle almost as good as a stock Evo. Well, now he's looking to sell it and he says his biggest reason is because everyone makes fun of him for driving a 16 year old's dream car. BTW, he never got it to handle anywhere near a stock Evo.

On another note, I sold my 2004 RS with over $5000 in mods and only 11,000 miles on the odometer for $21,000. That was over a year ago. You can find what you're looking for. You don't have to compromise and get the SRT-4.

I'd honestly get a Mazda 6 before I got an SRT-4, and I don't really like the Mazda 6 that much at all.

The Dodge is just a "fast" American sports compact. No history. No track record. The Neon is all engine. Six inch wide rims? Come on. Laughable. I haven't missed my Dodge one bit. Never. The Evo is the real deal. It's the complete package, capable of going fast in all directions.
Actually, the first-gen Neons were a common choice for autocrossing. And for a FWD car, it was actually not a bad rally car.

The SRT-4 isn't that bad. And wider 7" BBS wheels were offered on the ACR model anyway.

Don't get me wrong, it still wasn't a great car, but it's not nearly as terrible as someone of you are making it out to be, though the drivers/owners of it are the ones you should be mocking.

I used to hate these cars, but my friend got one, and is pushing about 450whp, and he didnt spend a ****load on it. Srt is good cheap car for going straight only. If u plan on doing anything besides going straight fast. I would save up a little more and get an evo (more potential) and better resale value later and in the end... everyone and their mom owns an srt ;p , so i like to be little diffrent.

Yes I still would, mainly because you can't get a Civic-R here and also because you definitely can't get a used Civic-R here, so I see your video and I raise you another video:

For 20k (assuming you REALLY can't find an Evo) I'd get one of 3 cars if I lived in Cali climate: WRX (or STi if you can find one), SRT4, S2000.
