owned them both... never heard of any more problems with the srt over the evo... reliability seemed pretty comprable to me... neither will be great they are performance cars pushed to the limit and will do some breaking

I would go with the neon if you are just looking for something to play with.. they are cheap.. make lots of torque... respond really well to mods.. and are fun to drive... just never expect any traction
