Thanks for your support. This thread should just about cover the basic and intermediate to advanced typical modifications. And this will also prove that anyone can do the work. Keep checking out the first page because I update that daily. I still have pictures to post up on "wiring through the hole in the fire wall", "autopower roll bar install", and "arp head stud installation".

They should be up by the end of this week. The install is very simple after you do one or two and get the process down. I want to stay in order so I have some more pictures to upload before I get to the head studs. Stay tuned

Week 4.....Firewall Hole/EBC Lines
Sorry I have not posted in a few days but I have been really busy. Angela just graduated from college so all week I was busy with her events. I am still waiting on my ETS turbo to be shipped.
The next few photos will go over finding the hole in the firewall and how I ran the wires for the Greddy Electronic Boost Controller.
The factory hole through the firewall is located on the passenger side of the firewall. It is located directly behind the strut tower and to the left of the nut shown in the first picture.
To remove the rubber gromet simply push in towards the cabin with a flathead screwdriver as shown below.

The next step is to connect the supplied air filter to the vacuum line of the EBC. Note that the air filter needs to be facing a certain way. Since I did this over a month ago, I forgot which way it was installed. Consult the instruction manual for the correct placement of the airfilter.

Next I taped the vacuum line and the wires with harness together. Anytime you are installing a bunch of wires taping them together will save time and will produce a cleaner install.

Angela also taped the wires and vacuum line together for the entire length of the wires/hose as shown below.

In order to pass the wires and vacuum line through the fire wall I used household wire. Due to the flexibility and rigidity of the household wire it is a great trick to aid in the passing of wires through hard to reach areas and small holes. Pass the household wire through the firewall on the cabin side towards the engine bay. The reason why I elected to do it this way was because you can guide the wire easier through the glove box towards the hole.

Wit the end of the household wire exposed in the engine bay the next step is simply tape the EBC lines to the household wire.

Next simply pull on the household wire from inside of the cabin and the EBC lines will follow the path that you selected from a previous step.

Once you pull the wire all the way through you can now remove the tape and you have successfully installed wires through the factory hole in the firewall.

I reached a significant road block with my project. The tensioner tool that I used to release the tension from the belts during my camshaft install sheared approximately 1.5" from the bottom. I can not complete my built like I planned. Now I am waiting on the availability of a friend to help me transport my car down to CBRD.
All of my parts are in at this time. I do have about 50 pictures that I have not posted that lead up to the camshaft install. I will start to post again this week. To those we all subscribed to the forum and have been following my thread I apologize.
