I like it and it's going to help me get my evo so I can't complain.

Week 2
The next few pictures will go over my Cusco Power Brace Removal. The Cusco Power Braces had to be removed so I can remove my DC Sports Downpipe with Cat Delete. The ETS Turbo kit that I selected had a specific downpipe designed for their kit. So I had to remove my fairly new (6000 miles) DP to prep for the new kit.
The first photo below shows the two Cusco Power Braces that will need to be removed prior to the downpipe removal.

Angela is shown here removing the bolts of the power braces.

Once the bolts were removed the front power brace was put to the side. Notice that once the brace was removed the bolts went back into the holes. This is a great way to make sure that you do not loose any bolts.

I then moved onto removing the middle Cusco Power Brace.

Again I placed the bolts back where they go after I removed the brace.

That's all I have for tonight. Tomorrow I will post the pictures of the DC Sports Down Pipe removal in preparation for my ETS turbo install.

Thanks bro. I know you are going to agree with me on this.. The EVO is 1000 times easier to work on than a VW. And the best part is that everything always lines up with no fabrication.
what a PITA! VW =

Since I have a 6 speed and my goal is 500 whp I have decided that I need to do some transmission work. I read a post last night of guy on here that made a custom tranny cooler. I am going to try and duplicate his setup. I do not beat on my evo and I have never been to the track with it. But if I decided to go I would like to cover my investment - so hopefully the tranny cooler will help me in the long run

Week 2 Continued....... - Downpipe Removal
After removing all of the Cusco Power Braces I was able to begin to remove my DC Sports DP w/ Cat Delete. Again, the reason why I have to remove my down pipe is that the ETS Turbo Kit has a specific down pipe for their kit. As you can see in the first picture, I used channel locks and a wrench to remove the bolts between the DP and the Cat Back.

Once the bolts were removed a supported the catback exhaust using the cover boards of the pit.

I was now able to move to the 02 housing side of the down pipe.

Here is the size of the wrench with extension that I needed to free the spring bolts of the down pipe/02 housing.

Once the bolts were removed the last step was to remove the rubber supports from the hangers.

Here is a little tip - I used motor oil on the hangers which made it very easy to pull off. Before trying to just muscle it off I could only move the rubber support about 1/4".

Downpipe successfully removed.

Hey guys.... I have been busy with my civil engineering job, fire fighting, the army, playing hockey, etc.. But I think there is a problem with image shack because this morning I tried to upload some more pictures to post and the images would not show up on my screen. I only have 56 images so far. So I tried to create another account and the registration link that you get in your email just bounced me back to the registration page instead of to my new account. I will try again this afternoon.

Montgomery.
