there are a lot of reasons this could happen they said.. everything sounds good. car starts right up and runs like new.. i should be getting the car back either weds. or thurs. thanks everyone for their input/ thoughts.!!!

Yeah, I didn't mean you or your car specificly, I meant this happening to anyone, I just can't see it doing it on it's own. You think it would rip way before it jumped or in the process of slipping.
