removing clear RTV silicone...

what can i use to remove clear rtv silicone off my trunk? i had it on there to keep water out of my trunk (car is wingless and used plugs +silicone to cover holes). now i have a different way to cover the holes only i cant get the old silicone off. any ideas?

i have tried rubbing alcohol, clay bar, wax, and car wash. i cannot get it off.

Have you tried googone? Or turtlewax's bug'n tar remover?
Try heat it up w/ a heat gun then remove it...Don't let it melt...just to where it gets softer and pliable...

BTw whats your new means to cover the hole?

i used laquer thinner. rub some of that on it and it just jumped right off the car.
i cant believe i didnt think of that earlier

i throw some pics up later of the viynl over the holes... you cant even tell they are on there unless you are right over-top of the trunk
